A global equipment manufacturer says demand for mid-size machinery is growing.

Greg Frenzel, product manage for combines with CLAAS, tells Brownfield the cost of large equipment is becoming too expensive for smaller farmers. “It’s always been bigger and better is the way to go with more performance through a machine with less machines in a field. That segment – the Class 7 segment – has been forgotten about a little bit.

He says CLAAS recently surveyed smaller farmers about their needs for farm equipment.
