Corn rootworm pressure could be “astronomical” this year

A crop protection specialist anticipates another year of heavy corn rootworm pressure.

Eric Rebek with FMC says populations are projected to be “astronomical” this season.

“For lack of a better term, given the mild winter that we had across the region. And then just the previous history from 2023 and a couple of years kind of building through these drought conditions.”
