CME milk futures up, but cash dairy down Monday

Milk futures were higher and the cash dairy markets were mostly lower Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

December Class III milk was up $0.03 at $16.23.  January was up $0.12 at $16.46.  February was up $0.03 at $16.76.  March was up $0.02 at $17.36.  April through November contracts ranged from one cent lower in July and September to fourteen cents higher in May. 

Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.39.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.02 at $1.60.  One sale was recorded at that price. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.0050 at $1.55.  Three sales were recorded at $1.5550. 

Butter was down $0.0950 at $2.5750.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1650.  No sales were recorded.
