Ag groups push for adequate farm bill funding

SHARE NOW

More than 400 agricultural organizations have asked Congress to ensure adequate funds are available for the 2023 Farm Bill.

The national, regional, and state farm associations signed onto a letter to both the House and Senate Budget Committee chairs asking for the funding to create a bipartisan, multi-year, comprehensive, and meaningful piece of legislation.

The farm groups say the Title I safety net has been shrinking for the past 20 years and the trade war that started in 2018 revealed gaps in the farm safety net.
