Join the Cosmosphere for the Rollout Ceremony of NASA’s X-59 QueSST (short for Quiet SuperSonic Technology), an experimental piloted aircraft.
NASA has contracted with Lockheed Martin SkunkWorks to build a new, full-scale X-plane to help solve the challenge of understanding sonic booms and how to make them quieter.
The Live Watch Party will begin at 2:45 pm, Friday, January 12, 2024, in the Cosmosphere’s Grand Lobby. NASA’s live coverage will begin in 3:00 pm CST. This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy refreshments and fun X-59 takeaway’s.
