Memorial Day Weekend Events at Fort Larned
Fort Larned NHS – If there are soldier drilling on the Fort Grounds and ladies living in luxury on Officers’ Row it must be time once again for the biggest living history event in Western Kansas – Memorial Day Weekend at Fort Larned. Along with our usual living history groups and volunteers we have some special programs lined up for the weekend. Join us for the fun!

10:00AM – Living in Luxury: Life on Officers’ Row
11:00AM – Steadfast Springfields: Small Arms Firing Demonstration
1:00PM – Wearing the Yellow: Life as a Cavalry Soldier
2:00PM – Manmade Thunder: Artillery Firing Demonstration
3:00PM – Martial Music: Communication in the Army
4:30PM – Retreat Ceremony (lowering the flag)

Sunday
10:00AM – Living in Luxury: Life on Officers’ Row
11:00AM – Steadfast Springfields: Small Arms Firing Demonstration
1:00PM – Wearing the Red: Life as an Artillery Soldier
2:00PM – Manmade Thunder: Artillery Firing Demonstration
3:00PM – Martial Music: Communication in the Army
4:30PM – Retreat Ceremony (lowering the flag)

Monday

12:00 Noon – Saluting of the Flag (including a cannon salute)
1:00PM – Remembering the Fallen: Cemetery Program
2:00PM – Manmade Thunder: Artillery Firing Demonstration
3:00PM – Wearing the Blue: Life as an Infantry Soldier
4:30PM – Retreat Ceremony (lowering the flag)
