Michael Forsberg is bringing his magnificent Whooping Crane photos to the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery, and you’re invited. On November 16, Forsberg will recount his epic coverage spanning five years documenting the lives of these spectacular, rare, and endangered birds. National Geographic ran this story in March to great acclaim.
Forsberg’s book, Into Whooperland: A Photographer’s Journey with Whooping Cranes, has just been published. The lecture at 2:00pm will be followed by a book signing and reception with plenty of time to meet and talk to the author.
Forsberg’s work has appeared not only in National Geographic, but also in other prestigious publications like Audubon, Nature Conservancy, and Sierra magazines. Forsberg’s fine art prints are in public and private collections, and his solo exhibitions have toured nationwide. View more of his photography on his website.
