Hello! My name is Ally Turner, and I am student at Pittsburg State University in the Social Work Program. I am doing a community service project this semester and I have decided to host a drive as my project for the pound in Humboldt, KS!
Humboldt Pound is a donation-based pound, so I thought it would be perfect to host a donation drive to keep the pound stocked with supplies for all the fur-babies in there while they wait for their homes! Sheri Modlin, our animal control officer, does a wonderful job taking care of the animals in the pound so I want to help her with ensuring that she has plenty of supplies to keep the animals loved and cared for!
Now for the drive info:
The drive will be 4 weeks long to make sure everyone who wants to donate can! If you choose to donate, there will be two drop-off locations:
Waggin’ Tails- 660 1000th St., Humboldt, KS, 66748
City Hall-725 Bridge St. Humboldt, KS, 66748
If you would like to donate, but are unable to get to the drop-off locations, then please contact me at 620-473-0267 and I am more than happy to do a porch pick up of your donations!
Now for the fun part! With this drive, I am doing 2 giveaways! I won’t give away all the details yet, but for everyone who donates they get put in for the giveaway drawing! Even better than that is that each donation = 1 entry. So, if you donate 6 items, then that is 6 entries into the drawing! I will draw for prizes right after the drive ends in November.
