BUHLER, Kan. — Each week, Ad Astra Radio recognizes different athlete’s outstanding achievements. We are proud to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week as Buhler High School senior Ben Clouse.
The week – Clouse had a record-setting night for the Crusaders on Friday at Circle. Clouse ran for a school-record 379 yards on 26 carries, and he scored three touchdowns, as Buhler won 42-20. The previous record of 371 yards was set in 1971.
The season – Clouse, a senior, has become one of Buhler’s all-time best running backs, which is impressive when you consider the stable of outstanding backs Buhler has had through the years. Clouse has rushed for 798 yards in four games for the 3-1 Crusaders, on 91 attempts, and he has scored nine touchdowns.
