SC VB Closes Out Regular Season with Loss to Bethel

terling, Kan.-The regular season came to a close in the KCAC on Saturday. Sterling hosted Bethel College in their final regular season match. Sterling’s postseason ticket had already been punched and their position would not change regardless of the outcome of this match.

Bethel College has been successful this season ranking fourth in the conference. Their season play carried over into this match with the Warriors. Sterling played from behind most of the night and was not able to get into a rhythm. The three set scores were 19-25, 17-25, 20-25.

Jordyn Jellison was the leader in kills for the Warriors. Aubrey Young and Paige Rowland played consistently setting for the Sterling front line and Nyah Isom anchored the back row.

Sterling heads into the KCAC postseason tournament first round on Tuesday night, November 8. The Warriors hold the #10 seed and travel to Wichita to take on #7 Friends University in the Garvey Center at 7 pm.
