El Dorado, Kan. – The McPherson Pipeliners would win their season finale on Wednesday, defeating the El Dorado Walnuts 10-6, as three Pipeliners would tally multiple RBIs.
On the mound, Sam Palecki would go the distance, striking out six, as he settled in after giving up a run in the opening inning. The Pipeliners were able to bring in three in the second inning to take a 3-1 lead, which held until the fifth inning.
In the fifth the bats warmed, as five runs crossed the plate in the inning for the Walnuts, before the Pipeliners matched El Dorado, batting around to score five runs in the sixth to take an 8-6 lead.
Another Pipeliner run came in the seventh before Hunter Robinson brought in the final run of the regular season, scoring John Downey, who had three hits and two RBIs. Malikai Wickley and Noah Boone also added two RBIs in the game for the Pipeliners as they would win 10-6 in the season finale.
The Pipeliners conclude the season 7-25 but won 5 of their last 8 to end the season.
