Wichita, Kan. – The McPherson Pipeliners played the Dirtbag Baseball Club for the second straight night on Wednesday, as they looked to overcome Tuesday’s 10-7 loss to the Dirtbags.
The Pipeliners would fall behind 5-0 after the first inning, but they were able to score 4 runs in the third, as Hunter Robinson would lead the way with 3 RBI’s. The Dirtbag Baseball Club would respond by producing back-to-back 5-run innings, as they would defeat the Pipeliners 18-6.
Head Coach Nathan Robl would say, “We hit really well tonight, just struggled to find consistency on the mound.” He added that he and his team look forward to having the day off on Thursday, before another set of three games in three days going into the weekend.
Friday, the Pipeliners will take on the Kansas Curve in Goddard with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m
