Pipeliners Bats Held Quiet Against Mud Daubers

Valley Center, Kan. – The McPherson Pipeliners were in action on the road Tuesday, taking on the Valley Center Mud Daubers. McPherson would fall behind 2-0 after the first, but would continue to battle through the middle innings.

For McPherson, John Downey led with three hits in four plate appearances, while Jaron Brown followed with two hits. Noah Boone and Peyton Rogers would drive in RBIs, as the Pipeliners would put together back-to-back runs in the fifth and sixth. Unfortunately, Valley Center would have back-to-back innings where three runs would cross the plate in the fifth and sixth, as they would defeat the Pipeliners 10-3. 

The Pipeliners will have a few days off and will be back on the road to take on the Kansas Cannons in Augusta on Friday. The first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
