McPherson, Kan – Last week, the Central Christian College of Kansas Soccer Programs, in conjunction with the local McPherson Recreation Commission, hosted the 27th annual Victory Soccer Camp at CCCK. The camp ran from June 6-10, and was well attended with over 95 players from many of the local cities including McPherson, Lindsborg, Salina, Hesston, Inman, Halstead, Wichita, Hutchinson, and Colorado Springs.
Coach Hoxie was excited with the reputation of the camp, especially in the younger ages; “I enjoy that each year our camp reaches out and draws players from many of the local towns. I understand the traveling difficulties that each of these parents experience, so I appreciate their commitment to giving their players this experience. For the second straight year, camp was filled with players in the middle school and lower elementary ages. This growth will carry the game for years to come, and that is exciting.”
The camp continues to grow each year and the coaching staff was able to maintain an 10-1 camper to coach ratio. “Special thanks to all of my coaches. We had four coaches come back to assist that have been at the camp as youth, and that is exciting to see them give back to the community. The quality of the head coaches that are involved speaks for themselves with over 50 years of head coaching experience between them in club, HS, and at the college level. These are the ones who make this camp go. All credit of success goes out to them. I couldn’t do this without them!” Coach Hoxie added.
The 28th annual Victory Soccer Camp will be held June 5-9, 2023 at Central Christian College of Kansas. Save the date and follow Central Christian College Athletics, CCCK Men Soccer, or CCCK Women Soccer on social media for updates.
