HESSTON, Kan. – The Bullpup Girls JV Golf team put together a tremendous performance Thursday, as all 6 golfers finished within the top 24, out of 48 golfers, finishing first as a team.
The Pups were led by Kaya Lowery, who finished first overall shooting a score of 45. Reese Elliot was three strokes back and finished third, and Caitlyn Pearson shot 51 to finish fifth. Ella Buschbom finished just two shots back, and finished 12th, while Aimee Leblanc was 16th shooting 55, and Hunter Wilson shot a 57, finishing 24th.
Head Coach Treg Fawl said, “We had a great day on the course. Our girls continue to work hard and improve.” Fawl concluded by saying, “The next 2-3 weeks will be some competitive practices and meets to see who will end up as the top 6 at the end of the season.”
On Thursday, the JV will travel to Hutchinson, to take on Crazy Horse Golf Course with tee time set for 1 p.m. The Varsity will also be in action Thursday, as they’ll travel to El Dorado’s Prairie Trails Golf Course. Their tee time is set for 3 p.m.
