Bulldogs Fall to No. 11 Ranked Bruins

OMAHA, Neb. – The McPherson College Volleyball team had a quick turnaround following Friday’s 5-set loss in the Sport Center to Doane. Saturday the Bulldogs took on nationally ranked Bellevue, who came in #11 in the NAIA.

Although the result didn’t favor the Bulldogs, defensively Katelyn Moore stepped into the libero jersey, and contributed 21 digs. The Bulldog serve receive continue to be a highlight throughout the season, lead by Moriah Delgado, and Bailey Avila. Kylie Willis led the Bulldogs on offense with 11 kills and 4 digs.

Head Coach Cory Cahill said, “”Today was a tough match against a high caliber opponent. I thought we did some things really well and battled the entire time. Another learning experience and now we look forward to conference play.”

The Bulldogs will have over a week off before opening up KCAC play at Bethany College in Lindsborg, on September 27, at 7:00 PM.
