Park City, Kan. – The McPherson Pipeliners were able to come away with their third win of the season on Wednesday, defeating the Park City Rangers on the road thanks to a 6-run ninth-inning.
Sam Palecki would get the start on the mound allowing just 4 hits and was scoreless through 6 innings. Park City would bring home three runs in the seventh, and the Pipeliners would be held scoreless until the 9th. After a bases-loaded walk to Sam Chavez, Peyton Rogers’ double would tie the game, and he would later score on a Zach Reynolds single.
Noah Boone was able to close the door on the Rangers pitching 2 ⅓ innings of relief, for the 6-3 win.
Wednesday marked one week left in the Pipeliners’ regular season, they will be back in action on Friday, in Winfield to take on the Midwest Moos with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.
