LARNED, Kan. — After 70 years, the 3i Show is no more.
The Western Kansas Manufacturers Association, which has sponsored the annual fair show that at one time was one of the largest such events in the country, announced the decision to discontinue the show in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
In the statement, WKMA said there have been many changes since we experienced the Covid Pandemic. “Those changes include our workforce, the way we purchase items, event attendance and quite possibly how we live our lives in general. Since the pandemic, the 3i Show has experienced a decline in both attendance and exhibitors. As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and unfortunately that is the case with the 3i Show.”
This announcement was made as exhibitors are planning budgets and show exhibits for 2025. WKMA apologized for any inconvenience this decision may have caused and that they understand this decision. We want nothing more than our exhibitors time and efforts to be utilized in the best possible manner.
WKMA, the sponsor of the 3i Show, will remain a corporation working for our members and the Agri-Business Industry.
The 3i show started out as a group of farm equipment manufacturers who traveled city to city across western Kansas. Later the show would rotate between Garden City and Great Bend before establishing a permanent home in Dodge City, where WKMA is based.
